This project involved crafting a visually striking illustrative animation for the lyrics video Who’s There? by Abyssal Bliss. The palette was unapologetically intense: a bold dance of red, black, and more red (because why stop at one shade of passion?).
The animation synced perfectly with the song, with hand-drawn illustrations transforming alongside the lyrics. Every line of text became an opportunity to evoke emotion—whether it was a surreal burst of imagery or a subtle, lingering motion that hinted at the deeper meanings within the words.
I used textures and fluid transitions to enhance the story, from cascading like patterns to jagged, charcoal-inspired line work. The result? A hypnotic blend of visuals and sound that feels like stepping into the Abyssal Bliss headspace, where everything is beautiful, dark, and just a little unsettling.
